Nutritional Info
Whether you're eating light or in the mood to indulge, we take pride in giving choices and letting you decide. That's why we make nutritional information for our food readily available to help inform your choice.
View and print the nutrition facts for our wide range of delicious offerings.
How is your nutrition information calculated?
We analyze our menu items either through calculated analysis (a sophisticated software program) or by chemical analysis (sending multiple samples to be tested in a lab). There are many factors that go into deciding which method to use, including the type of food, preparation, and information from our suppliers. Both types of analyses are based on the standardized recipes we use in our restaurants every day. As our chefs make changes to a recipe, we make the changes to our analysis. We know we can never make the exact same dish twice, but our approach to nutrition analysis helps ensure the nutrition we report is representative of what will be served in the restaurant.
What is a serving of soup?
The serving size for all soups is 8 fluid ounces. ToGo orders receive 16 fluid ounces.
What is a serving of salad?
One serving is about 5 ounces. The amount of salad served depends on the number of guests in your party. For a party of 1 to 2 guests, about 10 ounces would be served (so ½ of the bowl would be one serving).
Do your breadsticks contain dairy?
There is no dairy in our breadsticks or in the breadstick topping. The garlic topping is made from margarine.
Do you have any menu items that do not contain garlic?
Given the role of garlic in Italian cuisine, garlic is used in many of our dishes. The following menu items do not contain garlic. If a dish or menu item is not on this list, please assume it contains garlic.

Do you use MSG in your foods?
Our food recipes do not use added MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) and, based on information from our suppliers, MSG is not added to any of the ingredients we use. However, certain foods and ingredients naturally contain glutamate or glutamic acid (such as tomatoes, milk, cheese, mushrooms and certain yeasts and proteins).
Food Allergies
The information we are able to provide details which menu items contain the most common allergens and intolerances, based on the information provided by our suppliers. We work to keep this information as up-to-date as possible, and suggest you check our allergen information each time you dine with us.

Do you have procedures in place to minimize cross-contact in the kitchen?
Yes! When you tell your server that you have a food allergy, they will add this information to your order. This will alert the kitchen that you have a food allergy and will trigger several processes, including changing their gloves and serving utensils. Each of our managers has completed a food safety course, which includes basic information about food allergies, in addition to safe food handling practices.
Even with processes and procedures in place, we are mindful that we are not an allergen-free facility. As such, we cannot guarantee that any item is free of any allergen.
Do you provide information on allergens other than the ''big 9''?
The FDA regulates allergen labeling for the ''big 9'' (milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, soy, wheat, and sesame), and we source this information from our suppliers. We also provide information on sulfites. Because we recognize that our guests may be allergic to other ingredients, we are working to collect more allergen information from our suppliers.
What kind of oil do you use in your fryer?
We use highly refined canola oil or highly refined soy oil in our fryers. Based on information from our suppliers, these oils are highly refined and do not include any soy protein.
Do you have a separate fryer to avoid cross-contact of allergens?
No. We do not have a separate fryer at this time. This means any food that is in the fryer can come in contact with most of the major allergens, including: wheat (and gluten), shellfish, dairy, soy and egg.
If you have a food allergy, PLEASE inform your server before ordering. If you have any questions about this information, please reach out to our Guest Relations Department before you visit. Please know it may take us several days to research your request. Contact us online or call 800-331-2729 Monday - Friday between the hours of 10am - 4pm Eastern.
Gluten Sensitive Diet
At Olive Garden, we aim to ensure we have a range of options to meet our guests varying health and wellness needs including Gluten Sensitive choices
See our full list of Gluten Sensitive options here.
What is the gluten-free pasta made out of?
The gluten-free pasta uses brown rice flour as the primary ingredient, giving it an even better pasta texture.
Do you have special handling procedures for gluten-free pasta?
Our gluten-free pasta is cooked and held separately until ordered. At that time it is added directly to the sauté pan to avoid cross contact with other pasta or pasta water.
What does gluten-sensitive mean?
The menu items we call "gluten sensitive" are our menu items that are made without gluten-containing ingredients. We do not claim these items are "gluten free" because we have not chemically analyzed them to confirm if they meet the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) definition of "gluten free" (20 parts per million of gluten). While we do have processes and procedures in place to minimize cross-contact with other gluten-containing foods, these items may not be suitable for our guests who are highly sensitive to gluten.
Please know that our "gluten free" pasta does meet FDA's formal definition of gluten-free.
Is your Italian salad dressing gluten-free?
There are no gluten-containing ingredients in the dressing. However, gluten is present in the facility where the dressing is made. Please be sure to tell your server if you are avoiding gluten when you order your salad so that we can leave off the croutons.
Do you have a separate fryer to avoid cross-contact of allergens?
No. We do not have a separate fryer at this time. This means any food that is in the fryer can come in contact with most of the major allergens, including: wheat (and gluten), shellfish, dairy, soy and egg.
